President Obama travelled to the New York City area to assess storm damage from Hurricane Sandy. During the visit, he met with affected families, local officials and first responders, and a FEMA disaster recovery center. He was joined by New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Governor Andrew Cuomo, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, and other officials. The president provided briefing remarks following his tour of the storm damage.
