Small Business Administration (SBA) employees and local officials from New Jersey and New York testified on the impact to small businesses of Hurricane Sandy. Much of the hearing was focused on the amount SBA takes to process loan applications and disbursements, and SBA loan interest rates. Hoboken Mayor Dawn Zimmer urged Congress to approve supplemental funding for New Jersey and other states affected by Hurricane Sandy, saying that funding was crucial to her city’s recovery. close
