Historian Clayborne Carson talked about his book, Martin’s Dream: My Journey and the Legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr., in which he recounts his own journey from a teenage civil rights activist, who was present at the 1963 March on Washington, to acclaimed historian and editor of Martin Luther King, Jr.'s papers. He recounted encounters with many leaders and organizers in the Civil Rights Movement, including Ella Baker, Stokely Carmichael and the King family. Mr. Carson shared his experiences with race relations author and playwright Janet Langhart Cohen. close
