Afghan President Hamid Karzai spoke at Georgetown University following his meeting at the White House with President Obama. During their meeting the two leaders discussed the progress of the war and issues concerning the future role of the U.S. in the country, including additional equipment for the Afghan military, securing the nation’s border with Pakistan, and the planned withdrawal of U.S. troops at the end of next year. He responded to questions from members of the audience. The U.S.-Afghan Women’s Council co-hosted this event. close
