Thane Rosenbaum spoke about his book, Payback: The Case for Revenge, in which he argues that revenge and justice are not mutually exclusive ideas. In his book, the author contends that our court system would better serve victims of crimes by acknowledging and taking into account their feelings of vengeance in the adjudication of criminal cases. Mr. Rosenbaum presented his argument as part of a panel that included Federal Judge Denny Chin, New York Attorney General Eric Scheniderman, and attorneys Benjamin Brafman and Kathleen Hogan. The event was hosted by the Bar Association of New York City. close
