Representatative Michael Burgess (R-TX) talked about funding for the health care law, in particular the portion dealing with pre-existing conditions, and he responded to telephone calls and electronic communications. Earlier in the year the Obama administration discontinued enrollment of new people in the federal pre-existing condition program, due to the program running out of funds. Representative Burgess and other House Republicans argue that the program could re-allocate funds slated to pay for health care exchanges, also part of the health care law and set to come online in 2014.

Nancy Calo read news headlines from C-SPAN Radio at the end of the program. close
