Cass Sunstein talked about his book, Simpler: The Future of Government, in which he recounts his tenure as administrator of the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs from 2009 to 2012, and explains how his office improved the efficiency of several government programs. The author spoke about the reforms made during his three years as President Obama’s “regulatory czar,” which included improved labels on food products and calories listed on national restaurant menus to streamlined student loan and mortgage applications.
