Psychotherapist Gary Greenberg presented a history of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) used by the American Psychiatric Association to assign definitions to mental illnesses. He said that the book, first published in 1952, has been controversial in the release of each of its editions. Mr. Greenberg examined the creation of the long-awaited DSM-V, published in May 2013, and presented his thoughts on the errors in the latest edition. Gary Greenberg discusses his book with author and journalist Gideon Lewis-Kraus at BookCourt in Brooklyn, New York. close
