Telephone lines were open for comments on changes to President Obama’s national security team. He named U.N. Ambassador Susan Rice as Tom Donilon’s replacement as national security adviser, and nominated Samantha Power for U.N. ambassador. John Hudson spoke by telephone about what the changes mean to the Obama administration’s national security policy.

At the end of the program, Jim O’Sullivan, politics editor for Boston.com, reviewed by telephone the previous evening’s debate between Representative Ed Markey (D) and Republican businessman Gabriel Gomez to fill the Massachusetts Senate seat vacated by now-Secretary of State John Kerry. close
