Panelists talked about the obstacles women face in running for office and while legislating. Representative Barbara Lee (D-CA) talked about her experience being the lone member of Congress to vote against for a declaration of war following the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. Other topics included racial issues, the types of comments made about the physical appearance of women candidates, and campaign finance. The program also included questions from audience members.
