Viewers commented on President Obama’s cancellation of his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putinat the upcoming G-20 Summit in St. Petersburg. He made the decision in reaction to Russia granting asylum to Edward Snowden, the former National Security Agence contractor who leaked classified information.

Niels Lesniewski explained his CQ Roll Call article on a provision of the Affordable Care Act that said members of Congress and some congressional staffers would get their health insurance benefits through the exchanges established by the law. This created a dispute as to whether the federal government could continue to pay part of the health insurance premiums for this group. In response, the Office of Personnel Management issued formal guidance on how lawmakers and staffers can use their benefits to help pay for health care on the exchanges. close
