Josh Earnest briefed reporters and answered questions. He said the reports that suggested the White House had cut off aid to Egypt were “not accurate.” An aide from Senator Leahy’s office said the White House had cut off aid to Egypt. Deputy Press Secretary Earnest also told reporters the White House was still reviewing assistance to Egypt and no final decision had been made. He also answered questions on President Obama’s upcoming bus trip discussing college tuition costs and the White House response to the Turkish prime minister’s statement on Egypt. Other topics included San Diego Mayor Filner, elections in Mali, Dr. Sanjay Gupta’s position on marijuana use, and the health of Beau Biden. close
