Deputy Spokesperson Marie Harf spoke to reporters about Secretary of State John Kerry’s telephone conversation that day with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov on the situation in Syria and the Arab League’s statement holding the Syrian regime “responsible for this crime” of chemical weapons use. She said that a U.S. response would not include any action involving regime change in Syria but that President Obama was considering a range of options.
