Former President Bill Clinton explained the benefits of the health care law at the Clinton Presidential Center in Little Rock, Arkansas. He detailed why the law was needed to help costs to go down and give more people access to health care, what the law does, and what are some aspects that need to be fixed. Topics included the purpose of the health insurance exchanges that would open October 1, 2013, and the role of the states. He said that the country did not have from “now to eternity” to deal with a broken health care system and called on opponents to work with supporters to make the system better instead of trying to repeal the law or simply waiting for it to fail. close
