Panelists talked about the evolution of SCOTUSblog as a source of information for watchers of the U.S. Supreme Court. Tom Goldstein and his wife Amy Howe, co-founders of the blog, talked about its origins, the challenges they face, the blog’s credibility and relationship with the Court and journalistic community, and its role in increasing the general public’s access to the Court.

In 2012 SCOTUS became the first blog to receive a Peabody Award. The event titled “SCOTUSblog: Supreme Court Coverage and Cases,” held in the University of Georgia Richard B. Russell Special Collections Library, was sponsored by the Grady College of Journalism and Mass Communication, the Peabody Awards, and the University of Georgia School of Law. close
