Representative Christopher Smith (R-NJ) talked about his opposition to U.S. military action against Syria, and responded to telephone calls and electronic communications. He stated that he would not vote for military action in Syria, and encouraged the pursuit of a diplomatic solution. He also argued that a Syrian War Crimes Tribunal would allow aggressors from both sides of the conflict to be held accountable for their actions, including al-Qaida linked Syrian rebels.
