Telephone lines were open for viewer comments on the topic of the Obama administration’s choice to delay the use of military force and pursue a diplomatic solution in Syria. Sangwon Yoon, Bloomberg News diplomatic correspondent, spoke by telephone about diplomatic efforts following Syria’s acceptance of the Russian government’s proposal for Syria to turn over their chemical weapons to the international community. Alexander Bolton of The Hill also spoke by telephone about congressional response to the use of potential use of military force in Syria. Video clips were shown of President Obama’s address to the nation the previous evening and of the graphic video of the dead in Syria released by the Senate Intelligence Committee. Live scenes were shown from the World Trade Center site in New York City. close
