Jill Lepore talked about her book, Book of Ages: The Life and Opinions of Jane Franklin, in which she recalls the life of Benjamin Franklin’s youngest sister, Jane Franklin. The author said that Ms. Franklin was as skilled a writer and as politically astute as her brother. Jane, the mother of twelve children, maintained a long-standing correspondence with Benjamin, who wrote to his sibling more than any other person in his life. Ms. Lepore spoke at the Free Library of Philadelphia. close
