Ira Stoll, former vice president and managing editor of the New York Sun, talked about his book, JFK, Conservative, in which the author argues that President John F. Kennedy was a conservative whose political ideologies had more in common with Ronald Reagan than Lyndon Baines Johnson. In his book, the author points to Kennedy’s build-up of the military during the Cold War and his push for free trade and tax cuts to bolster economic growth as examples of the late President’s conservative leanings. Ira Stoll spoke at Politics and Prose Bookstore in Washington, D.C. close
