Representative Donna Edwards (D-MD) held a forum on women’s economic agenda in her district at the First Baptist Church of Glenarden. Three women from the district told their personal stories about the importance of paid sick leave and affordable heath insurance and child care. Barbara Mikulski (D-MD) and Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) both spoke about the importance of women to the American economy and their economic initiatives for women, such as raising the minimum wage and equal pay for women. close
