Ellen Baumler, Interpretive Historian at the Montana Historical Society, talked about the discovery of gold in Helena, Montana, and visited the oldest surviving home in the state, a log cabin used during the city’s gold rush. 

C-SPAN’s Local Content Vehicles (LCVs) made a stop in their “2013 LCV Cities Tour” in Helena, Montana, from October 7-11 to feature the history and literary life of the community. Working with the Charter Cable local affiliate, they visited literary and historic sites where local historians, authors, and civic leaders were interviewed. close
