Prime Minister Cameron responded to questions from members of the government and opposition about a number of issues. He defended the United Kingdom’s intelligence gathering program in light of recent allegations that the U.S. spied on several countries including France, Spain, and Germany. He told members that he takes this issue very seriously and said Britain has a good intelligence system overseen by parliamentary committees and examined by intelligence commissioners. Prime Minister Cameron also answered questions on energy costs, unemployment figures, and progress in automobile production. close
