Andy Kroll talked about the role of “dark money” in campaign finance. He defined “dark money” as “the secret money that is flowing through our elections” from groups such as Crossroads GPS or Priorities USA that do not have to disclose the names of donors or how contributions are used. He also talked about some of the articles he has written for Mother Jones, such as “Triumph of the Drill,” about tax subsidies for oil companies, and he responded to telephone calls and electronic communications.
