In an appearance on NBC’s “Meet the Press” by remote video from Salt Lake City, Utah, former Governor Mitt Romney (R-MA) talked about the difference between a federal health care plan and having various state plans. He said Massachusetts “teaches some important lessons some states are not going to want to follow” and that health insurance was more expensive in Massachusetts than in any other state and that “Texas and Minnesota and Montana” would not necessarily want to adopt such a costly plan. He also said that what President Obama had promised about the health care plan “has undermined the foundation of his second term - I think it’s rotting it away.”
