Edmund Phelps talked about his book, Mass Flourishing: How Grassroots Innovation Created Jobs, Challenge, and Change, in which he argues that few major innovations have been made by isolated visionaries and says that most were the product of millions of people working on and promoting various ideas and technologies. He spoke about ways to further promote this kind of “mass innovation,” which, he said, will create jobs and improve our economy. Mr. Phelps spoke at the Commonwealth Club of California in San Francisco. close
