Historian Myron Magnet talked about his book, The Founders at Home: The Building of America, 1735-1817, in which he recounts the personal and public lives of America’s founders through an examination of their homes. In his book, the author reports on the architectural, social, and political relevancy of each man’s private residence, from Washington’s Mount Vernon and Jefferson’s Monticello to Madison’s Montpelier. Myron Magnet spoke about his book with Richard Brookhiser at the New York Historical Society. close
