British Foreign Secretary William Hague outlined to the House of Commons the agreement the P5+1 countries made with Iran on a six-month test freeze of the country’s nuclear program. He defended the position “to test to the full Iran’s readiness to act in good faith, to work with the rest of the international community and to enter into international agreements.” He also stressed the role of “limited” sanctions relief and discouraged “anyone in the world” from taking measures “that would undermine the agreement.”

P5+1 comprises five permanent United Nations Security Council members: the U.S. the United Kingdom, Russia, France, and China, plus Germany. close
