Sharon Kelly Roth, Books and Company’s Public Relations Director, talked about Erma Bombeck’s writings and her impact on the city of Dayton, Ohio. Her writings are held at the University of Dayton. Bombeck was an American humorist who achieved popularity for her newspaper column that described suburban home life from the mid-1960s until the late 1990s.
C-SPAN’s Local Content Vehicles (LCVs) made a stop in their “2013 LCV Cities Tour” in Dayton, Ohio, from November 18-21 to feature the history and literary life of the community.
