House Intelligence Committee Chair Mike Rogers (R-MI) and House Budget Committee Ranking Member Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) talked about U.S. interests in Syria and Iran, and how they converge with those of Russia and Israel. Representative Rogers said he believed the deal to freeze parts of Iran’s nuclear program had upset a strategic balance with Arab allies of the U.S.
This was part of a day-long conference titled, “The United States, Russia and the Middle East,” held by the Johns Hopkins University Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and Al-Monitor.com held in Kenney Auditorium in the school’s Nitze Building. close
