Panelists at George Washington University talked about former chairmen of the federal reserve and their accomplishments. They also spoke about the history of the Federal Reserve, responses to the 2008 financial crisis, and the future of the Federal Reserve.

“The Fed’s Long Journey 1913-2013: Assessing Fed Leadership from Benjamin Strong to Ben Bernanke” was a panel at the George Washington University symposium, “The Past, Present, and Future of the Federal Reserve System,” which recognized the 100th anniversary of the Federal Reserve.

This was the first of a series of symposiums on the Federal Reserve and the nation’s banking system. During the introduction to the seminar the first online course on the subject was announced. close
