Senator Tom Coburn (R-OK) talked about this 2013's Wastebook, which highlights what he views as unnecessary or excessive spending across the federal government. Two of the examples he cited was a $400,000 study done by a Yale University professor “to assess the intellection capabilities of tea partiers,” and the federal government shutdown earlier in the year. The book is available on his Senate Web site He also talked about National Security Agency surveillance programs.
