Former Governor Howard Dean (D-VT) talked about the current political system and the need for creating change and compromise with a focus on the progressive perspective on budget, taxes, and spending issues. He also spoke about the federal budget, income inequality, and the day’s youth generation with students at the Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars. Governor Dean, who ran for the Democratic Party nomination for president in 2004, said that he was supporting former Secretary Hillary Clinton for the nomination in 2016. The former chair of the Democratic Party, he also commented on the strategy for Democrats and Republicans in 2016.
