Prime Minister David Cameron responded to questions from members of the government and opposition about a number of issues, included the United Kingdom’s humanitarian aid to Syria. Opposition Leader Ed Miliband said the U.K. should “set an example” and accept a small number of Syrian refugees, as proposed by the United Nations. The prime minister responded that the UK. is meeting its moral obligations but opening its doors to a huge amount of refugees was not the right response. Other topics included a referendum for Scottish independence, unemployment figures, and condolences for the death of a British aid worker in Afghanistan. close
