In celebration of the 35th anniversary of C-SPAN, a video clip was shown from the yearly timeline of memorable moments in the House of Representatives. 

On October 3, 2008, Budget Committee Ranking Member Paul Ryan (R-WI) talked about the compromise package which would be enacted that day. Stocks had plunged and leaders convened on the compromise for the financial crisis when the House rejected a $700 billion financial bailout package on September 29, 2008. close
