In celebration of the 35th anniversary of C-SPAN, a video clip was shown from the yearly timeline of memorable moments in the House of Representatives.

On January 8, 2014, Representative Ron Barber (D-AZ) introduced a House observation of a moment of silence to mark the third anniversary of the shootings of Representative Gabbie Giffords (D-AZ), her aides, and local citizens.
