Telephone lines, including a special line for those who had been jailed for drug crimes, were open for viewer comments on the topic of Attorney General Eric Holder’s endorsement of a proposal by the United States Sentencing Commission to modify federal guidelines to lessen the average sentence for drug dealers from 62 months to 51 months. Video clips were shown of his remarks before the commission the previous day and of Governor Rick Perry (R-TX) speaking on the subject the previous week.
The program concluded with a video clip from the C-SPAN’s Local Content Vehicles (LCVs) stop on their “2014 LCV Cities Tour” in Tallahassee, Florida. close
