Roben Farzad talked about the practice of high-frequency trading, which involves using advanced computer algorithms and ultra-high speed data networks to execute trades. Mr. Farzad defined it as “putting out millions of trades through milliseconds to exploit minute movements....If you throw enough money at it, ...you an make a ton of money.” Attorney General Eric Holder announced a Department of Justice investigation of high-frequency trading to see whether it violates insider trading laws. Much of the interview focused on Michael Lewis' book on the subject, Flash Boys: A Wall Street Revolt, and a portion of a C-SPAN interview with Mr. Lewis was shown. close
