Witnesses testified on trans-Atlantic security challenges, Russia’s intervention in Ukraine, and NATO expansion. In the first panel Victoria Nuland gave an update on the crisis in Ukraine and U.S. policy response. Derek Chollet outlined Pentagon efforts to provide assistance to the region. Im the second panel Ian Brzezinski urged firmer economic sanctions and increased military assistance to Ukraine. Other topics in the second panel included NATO expansion along with energy security in the region. close
