Treasury Secretary Jack Lew briefed reporters and answered questions following the 2014 spring meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank, and the G-20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors meeting in Washington, D.C. He talked about the state of the global economy as well as the situation in Ukraine including loan guarantees from the U.S. and possible additional sanctions against Russia should it continue to escalate the situation in the region.
The press conference was held at George Washington University, where the spring meetings were held.
