President Obama spoke to the media following a meeting with Secretary Eric Shinseki about delays at Veterans Affairs hospitals in Phoenix and elsewhere. He stressed his faith in Secretary Shinseki to correct the problems and said that he would not tolerate “the mistreatment of veterans” alleged at VA facilities. He also stated that those guilty of misconduct at VA hospitals would be punished. Following his prepared statement, he answered several questions from reporters. close
