St. Louis "250 in 250" Exhibit, Overview

Jody Sowell visited the “250 in 250” exhibit at the Missouri History Museum, which chronicles the 250-year history of St. Louis. The exhibit tells the city’s history through the stories of 50 People, 50 Places, 50 Images, 50 Moments and 50 Objects. He provided an overview of the “250 in 250” exhibit as a whole and shared the historical significance of the items featured in the exhibit. 2014 marked the 250th anniversary of the founding of St. Louis.

C-SPAN’s Local Content Vehicles (LCVs) made a stop in their “2014 LCV Cities Tour” in St. Louis, Missouri, from May 17-21 to feature the history and literary life of the community. Working with the Charter Cable local affiliate, they visited literary and historic sites where local historians, authors, and civic leaders were interviewed. The history segments air on American History TV (AHTV) on C-SPAN3 and the literary events/non-fiction author segments air on BookTV on C-SPAN2. close
