Members of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) testified on the recommendations of their task force created after the 2011 Fukishima Daiichi nuclear power plant accident in Japan. Some of the issues discussed included the closure of several U.S. plants, waivers granted by the NRC to facilities concerning evacuation plans, and documents that the NRC refused to supply to the committee concerning a nuclear plant investigation. close
