Christine LaGarde briefed reporters and responded to questions on the International Monetary Fund (IMF) annual forecast of U.S. economic growth. She announced the IMF was temporarily revising the outlook to two percent, a decrease from previous predictions, but stressed it was only temporary due to poor first quarter results that were affected by extreme weather events. Other IMF officials also spoke at the news conference. close
