Kristie Macrakis talked about her book, Prisoners, Lovers, and Spies: The Story of Invisible Ink from Herodotus to al-Qaeda, in which she explores the history of invisible ink going back to ancient Greece. In her book, Professor Macrakis looks at the use of invisible ink during the U.S. Revolutionary War, as well as by the Nazis, the Stasi, the CIA, al-Qaeda, and others. She also talked about the people who came up with new ways to hide important messages over the years. This event was hosted by the International Club of Atlanta. close
