David Shepardson talked about automaker recalls. According to the Associated Press, automakers had recalled 28 million vehicles in 2014 --more than 1 in 10 vehicles -- and were on track to beat the 2004 record of 30.8 million recalled vehicles. Mr. Shepardson talked about congressional action on the situation; the impact on the industry; and specific details of recalls and penalties. A video clip was shown of a June 19, 2014, congressional hearing questioning the ability of General Motors to change its culture. close
