President Obama talked about creating 21st century workplace by urging business to adopt family-friendly policies such as paid maternity and paternity leave and flexibility for working parents. He also called on Congress to pass his legislation regarding the minimum wage, paid leave, and equal pay.

The first-ever White House Summit on Working Families was held at the Omni Shoreham Hotel by the White House Council on Women and Girls, the Labor Department Women’s Bureau, and the Center for America Progress to focus on creating a 21st century workplace that works for all Americans. close
