Representative Rick Nolan (D-MN) offered a motion to recommit on the Treasury Department spending bill. The motion would have amended the bill to increase the Consumer Product Safety Commission budget by $5 million and increase the Small Business Administration Entrepreneurial Development Program by $5 million. Representative Nolan spoke passionately about small business development and about children dying from faulty products. Representative Ander Chenshaw (R-FL) then spoke against the motion to recommit. House member made a commotion during the remarks by both speakers. close
