Entrepreneurs and leaders in business, government, civil society, and the media talked about the change in U.S. priorities in Africa from foreign aid to business opportunities. Panelists talked about media coverage of Africa and agreed that many of the stories out of Africa are not being covered. They also said that African media organizations are improving and will soon be able to fill the gap. 

“The Game Has Changed: The New Landscape for Innovation and Business in Africa” was a day-long forum held by the Brookings Institution’s Africa Growth Initiative at the Willard Intercontinental Hotel. close
