First Minister Alex Salmond responded to questions from members of Parliament. Members asked First Minister Salmond about warnings that Scotland’s North Sea oil reserves would decline in about 15 years and could lead to major damage to their economy. The first minister dismissed these claims and said Scotland’s oil reserves are economically viable after 2050. This was the last First Minister’s Questions before Scottish voters considered a referendum on Scottish independence from the United Kingdom. close
