Vice Presiden Biden delivered remarks at the National Archives to mark the 20th anniversary of the Violence Against Women Act. As a senator, he was the chief sponsor of the original legislation. Vice President Biden talked about some of the challenges in passing the legislation and the continuing need to expose the truth about domestic violence. He was introduced by Ruth Glenn, who shared her own story as a victim of abuse.
